Engineering Intelligence for Process Industries

Engineering knowledge that flows.

Entellia connects process engineering, automation engineering, simulation, recipes and engineering outputs in one continuous engineering environment.

What is Entellia?

One source of engineering context

Entellia is an Engineering Intelligence Platform for process industries. It structures and connects engineering knowledge so information created in one discipline can be reused in the next.

Process descriptions, PFDs, P&IDs, ISA-88 structures, automation models, simulation models, recipes and engineering outputs become part of one connected engineering flow.

Learn what Engineering Intelligence means

The engineering challenge

Engineering already knows more than its tools can share.

Information is created in process engineering, recreated in automation, translated for simulation and transferred again into spreadsheets, specifications and code.

01

Less recreation

Reuse engineering knowledge instead of rebuilding it for every tool and project phase.

02

More context

Keep structures, relationships, roles and semantics connected to the engineering information.

03

Faster engineering

Generate downstream results from structured knowledge wherever supported.

One continuous engineering flow

Every step builds on what engineering already knows.

01DesignBuild structured process knowledge
02ConnectCreate a common engineering context
03SimulateValidate decisions earlier
04AutomateTransform models into automation
05ExecuteMove knowledge towards operation

Connected engineering

Knowledge gains context along the way.

Instead of rebuilding information for every tool, phase and discipline, Entellia creates a connected engineering context that can become the source of the next result.

  • StructuredMachine-interpretable engineering information
  • ConnectedExplicit relationships across disciplines
  • ReusableExisting knowledge as the next starting point
  • ExecutableModels that support downstream artefacts

Engineering workflows

Workflows that build on each other

Each workflow has a clear starting point, a defined engineering result and the ability to reuse knowledge created elsewhere.

Open engineering ecosystem

Standards shape the data structure

Entellia’s underlying database structure is already organized around established engineering standards. Equipment, functions, procedures and relationships are represented with these models in mind—not labelled afterwards.

ISA-88 / IEC 61512

Defines physical and procedural models for batch control, including Units, Equipment Modules and Control Modules.

MTP

A machine-readable description of a process equipment module for modular process automation and orchestration.

rMTP

The requirements-oriented counterpart to MTP, used to describe what a module must provide before the final implementation exists.

OPC UA

A platform-independent communication and information-modelling standard for interoperable industrial systems.

FMI / FMU

A standard and packaging format for exchanging and executing simulation models across compatible engineering tools.

REST APIs

Web-based interfaces that allow Entellia workflows and engineering information to connect with surrounding systems.

DEXPIPlanned

Planned support for standardized exchange of process plant and P&ID information.

AASPlanned

Planned support for Asset Administration Shell representations in industrial digital ecosystems.

Workflow-dependent potential

Reuse can change engineering economics.

Entellia projects can target up to 50% faster time to market and up to 70% less engineering effort where the workflow, source data and project scope support it.

These figures are not guaranteed outcomes. Results depend on the starting information, target workflow and project conditions and should be validated against a defined reference process.
